iRam was born in the back room of one of the founder’s mom’s house in 2011, when founders Carl dos Santos and Grant Berridge decided that retail in South Africa needed a shake-up. Believing that it was time to challenge the old guard, they targeted retail servicing, which had barely evolved in South Africa in 40 years. iRam sought to introduce intelligence into a service that had previously been entirely about in-store execution, packing of shelves and activating products.
iRam’s innovations have brought clarity and efficiency to the process, by providing retail insights to aid in the management of large retail outlets. The company has grown into a fully-fledged sales and merchandising operation, but the difference lies in the valuable insights that iRam’s systems generate, driving focus and measuring efficacy.
